Who I am

My name is Vinny Millevolte. I was first introduced to piano tuning, repair, and rebuilding in 1993 under the mentorship of the highly respected technician Richard Kingsbury, while I was teaching guitar at the Waukesha County Conservatory of Music in Hartland, Wisconsin.

Though I initially explored piano technology, my focus shifted to a full-time career in guitar instruction, which I pursued for over a decade. During that time, I also launched a recording studio—an endeavor I’ve continued for more than 25 years. Both of these experiences have been instrumental in developing my ear, a skill that is essential for accurate piano tuning.

After years immersed in music education and audio work, I returned to piano technology and have since made it my primary focus. I currently tune, recondition, regulate, and repair pianos at Hartland Piano and the Waukesha Conservatory of Music, where I maintain both trade-in instruments and the conservatory’s teaching pianos. I also offer independent in-home piano tuning and repair services throughout the area.

I live in Hartland, Wisconsin with my wife, where we raised our two children. In my free time, I enjoy hiking, cycling, and fishing.
